At First Christian Church, we love families! Part of our mission is to partner with parents as they seek to teach and train their kids in the gospel. This mission begins with helping care for babies in the nursery all the way up to helping high school students prepare for a lifetime of following Christ. Parents of younger children may be especially interested in our Thursday evening small group. Since childcare is provided, this is an excellent way for parents to connect with one another.
Our nursery workers seek to provide a safe environment where we take the first steps toward showing the love of Jesus to the littlest ones among us. Nursery is available during the service for kids from birth up to age 5. Parents are also welcome to bring their little ones into the worship service with them. During the Sunday School hour, nursery is available for babies and toddlers, while kids age 2 and up have Sunday School classes available.
Our Sunday School teachers have a passion for teaching children the Word of God in ways that are appropriate for each age group. Classes are available for kids age 2 and up. Sunday School meets following the worship service at 10:30 am.
On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, all children and youth from preschoolers through highschoolers are invited to join us. The focus of Sunday evening groups is still on learning the Word, but we also spend some time having fun together and building relationships. Sunbeams (Pre-K through grade 2) and JYF (grades 3-6) meet from 5 to 6 pm. GROW, for grades 7-12, meets from 5 - 6:30.
